Istanbul is changing. They break down houses under the name “Urban Transformation” and build instead skyscraper or closed areas with high buildings including hundreds of apartments. Istanbul is an earthquake zone. Even if they tell that these buildings are earthquake-resistant, in my opinion it is a project devoid of environmental awareness, which makes rich people richer. In case of the big Istanbul earthquake all these buildings will also break down. To show my criticism and the instability of these buildings, I exposure puckered photography paper with a self-made pinhole with the result that the buildings look like breaking down.
